Measurement discrepancies: several supplier inch equivalents do not match the centimetre figures. Size 7 back height is listed as both 6cm and 5.7 inches, so it has been left unconfirmed rather than corrected by assumption. The supplier also lists a neck circumference of approximately 30cm or less without identifying which sizes it applies to. Confirm the dimensions and strap adjustment range before purchase.
Fit before use
Measure your dog's snout length, width, circumference and open-mouth depth, together with the strap path specified by the manufacturer. Choose a fit that leaves room for a full pant and drinking without pressing on the nose or eyes. A ventilation opening alone does not establish enough panting space. Do not select solely by breed or tighten the muzzle to hold the mouth closed.
Ask a vet or qualified reward-based trainer to help assess fit if you are unsure. The set is not guaranteed to fit every dog or snout shape.
Important safety guidance
- Use only under direct supervision, with regular checks for rubbing, distress, overheating or restricted breathing.
- Never use to suppress barking, as punishment, or to stop panting.
- No bite-proof testing is supplied. Do not rely on the muzzle to eliminate bite risk or permit unsafe contact.
- Do not leave on an unattended, sleeping or crated dog, or use during strenuous activity if panting and drinking clearance is uncertain.
- Remove promptly if your dog shows distress or needs to vomit. Seek veterinary advice for breathing difficulties.
- Inspect the basket, straps and fastenings before use; replace damaged parts rather than continuing to use them.
Care
Follow the manufacturer's cleaning instructions for the plastic and PU components. Skin-friendliness, long-term wear suitability and resistance to chewing have not been independently verified.
